TL;DR
Physical AI Solutions Architect (Robotics): Designing and delivering next-generation robotics, drone, medical, industrial, and quantum compute systems combining AI, real-time control, and heterogeneous CPU/GPU/FPGA computing with an accent on end-to-end Sense–Think–Act architectures, low-latency processing, and deterministic behavior. Focus on leading customer engagements and PoCs, mapping workloads across compute platforms, and translating Physical AI concepts into production-ready solutions.
Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom; 30% travel required

What you will do
- Define end-to-end architectures spanning sensors, perception, localization, planning, control, and actuation.
- Design Sense–Think–Act pipelines with strict latency and determinism requirements, including CPU, GPU, and FPGA workload partitioning.
- Lead technical customer engagements, translate requirements into architecture proposals, and deliver presentations, briefings, and system recommendations.
- Drive proof-of-concept development, validate architecture and performance, and collaborate with engineering teams on demonstrations.
- Analyze Physical AI markets and define solution stacks, reference architectures, and competitive positioning.
- Contribute to white papers, technical blogs, and training materials.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Physical AI, robotics, drones, AI systems, or solutions architecture.
- Strong expertise in robotics systems and AI/ML for robotics.
- Experience with ROS or ROS2, real-time control systems, deterministic processing, and end-to-end robotics control-loop architecture.
- Experience with world modeling, point-cloud generation, and motion planning.
- Familiarity with sensor fusion, localization, control loops, VLA and VLM models, and Physical AI SDKs.
Nice to have
- Experience with FPGA platforms, including RTL and HLS.
- PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
