Senior iOS Software Engineer (iOS)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

Base salary: $190,800–$267,100 USD per year, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position offered.

What you will do

• Build and evolve native iOS experiences for discovering, consuming, creating, and engaging with content and communities.
• Lead projects through product definition, technical design, implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, ML, backend, and platform teams to deliver measurable user impact.
• Improve iOS architecture, performance, reliability, accessibility, developer workflows, and engineering standards.
• Mentor teammates and drive cross-functional technical initiatives.

Requirements

• Professional experience developing and shipping consumer-facing native iOS applications at scale using Swift.
• Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, application architecture, debugging, performance optimization, reliability, maintainability, and testable code.
• Experience designing mobile systems and interfaces, evaluating architectural tradeoffs, and building scalable features from APIs through user-facing UI.
• Experience with experimentation, feature flags, instrumentation, analytics, and product or quality-of-experience metrics.
• Strategic product thinking, clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to lead through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, HLS, media playback, recommendation systems, accessibility, or ML-integrated products.
