Global Robotic Systems Application Engineer

Location: On-site at the hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, at least four days per week; travel of up to 40% domestically and internationally. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Expected compensation: $124,127–$151,710, including base pay and variable incentive pay where applicable.

What you will do

• Engineer and optimize robotic abrasive solutions for major automotive manufacturers.
• Support solution installation, startup, and ongoing technical service at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot robotic abrasive process performance and optimize operating conditions.
• Use robotic laboratories to develop and validate automation solutions for customer processes.
• Collaborate with product development teams to incorporate customer needs into new solutions.
• Develop methods for evaluating abrasive solution performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of combined robotics experience in system design and integration, programming, or application engineering.
• At least one year of experience troubleshooting, testing, evaluating, and optimizing industrial applications.
• Experience with DC electrical systems, I/O, servo drives, motors, robotic programming, software, and driver logic is beneficial.
• Experience with automotive production, industrial, or manufacturing customers is beneficial.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Degree in mechanical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline with robotics or mechatronics coursework.
• Hands-on construction and fabrication experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including qualitative and quantitative data validation.
• Comfort working at customer sites with critical installation deadlines.
