Mechanical Engineer I (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Jose, United States; onsite work required. Fully remote work is not available.

Annual base pay: $92,600–$138,800.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design and testing of mechanical components and systems for next-generation product platforms.
• Identify and analyze design problems to develop solutions meeting technical and cost requirements.
• Help define design requirements and processes aligned with manufacturing needs and customer expectations.
• Communicate technical information and recommendations to senior mechanical engineers.
• Track project plans, tasks, deliverables, and milestones through clear written and oral communication.
• Continue developing mechanical engineering knowledge and learn related engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Successfully completed the hirify.global Summer 2026 Internship Program and received an invitation to apply for a return role.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, with graduation between December 2026 and September 2027.
• Ability to start no later than September 30, 2027 and work onsite in San Jose.
• Ability to design and solve engineering problems with senior-level mechanical review.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Understanding of mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks, Pro-Engineer, or Inventor, plus structural, thermal, fluid dynamics, multiphysics, or tolerance analysis.
