Senior RF Components Engineer (Space)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. The role requires employees to work in the United States and be a U.S. person authorized to access export-controlled technology.

Salary: $169,067–$216,031 per year for the Senior level, plus potential long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own RF flight components including radios, power amplifiers, antennas, and filters.
• Define specifications, select or design components, and manage their full product lifecycle with RF Systems Engineers.
• Coordinate interface requirements with Flight Software, Structures, and Integration & Test teams.
• Lead product acceptance and qualification testing for thermal, vibration, shock, TVAC, and EMI environments.
• Develop Python-based test software to automate equipment control and component performance measurements.
• Investigate test failures, implement risk mitigations, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, function generators, power meters, and power supplies.
• Experience with RF components and complete transmit or receive signal-chain design and integration.
• Proficiency with Python and familiarity with PyVISA or similar test software libraries; familiarity with Unix environments.
• Experience building HITL testbeds, managing configuration control, developing test cases, and operating system-level and environmental tests.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. person, including a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
