Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Document and assess security controls against frameworks such as NIST 800-53.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, policy, and contractual requirements for classified and unclassified information systems.
• Plan and coordinate audits, assessments, and security tests.
• Maintain System Security Plans, POA&Ms, and other accreditation documentation.
• Provide expertise in Rapid7, SIEM, Atlassian, eMASS, and other security and GRC tools.
• Guide program teams and build relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, government customers, and other contractual partners.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related technical field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Professional experience in a Security Operations Center or similar cybersecurity services environment.
• Expertise in change management, security troubleshooting, and user support.
• At least one DoD baseline security certification, such as CISSP, Security+, or A+ Security, or the ability to obtain one quickly.
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends and overnight shifts when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience in DoD classified operating environments.
• Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing DISA STIGs.
• CISM certification.
• Project management and technical leadership experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity service.
