TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer - ADAS Interactive Experience (Automotive) (C/C++): Designing and delivering production automotive embedded software across MCU and SoC platforms to connect vehicle signals, sensors, and real-time controls with driver-facing ADAS experiences, with an accent on system architecture, safety, determinism, and reliability. Focus on building MCU-to-SoC interfaces, debugging cross-domain issues, and validating vehicle features from hardware bring-up through production launch.

Location: Milford, Michigan or Sunnyvale, California, United States

Company

hirify.global develops automotive products and technologies focused on safer, cleaner, and more accessible mobility.

What you will do

  • Design and develop production embedded systems across MCU firmware and SoC software using C/C++.
  • Translate vehicle-level requirements into software architectures covering interfaces, protocols, data flows, timing, diagnostics, and degraded-mode behavior.
  • Build reliable interfaces between real-time MCU applications and SoC services supporting driver controls, alerts, chimes, lighting, haptics, and situational awareness.
  • Collaborate with systems, electrical, HMI, ADAS, platform, supplier, and vehicle integration teams through hardware bring-up, integration, validation, and production launch.
  • Debug cross-domain issues involving firmware, vehicle networks, IPC, SoC services, operating systems, electrical interfaces, and downstream applications.
  • Drive unit, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, integration, performance, and fault-injection testing while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience developing and shipping embedded software for production products.
  • Strong C/C++ experience on both microcontroller and SoC-based platforms.
  • Experience with real-time or resource-constrained MCU software, including RTOS applications, board-support packages, device drivers, peripherals, or low-level communication stacks.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux, QNX, or Yocto environments, including IPC and system resource management.
  • Experience with version control, code review, build systems, static analysis, CI/CD, and integrated embedded-system debugging and testing.

Nice to have

  • Experience with automotive networks and protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, DBC, or UDS.
  • Experience with automotive production systems, vehicle milestones, developer tooling, build infrastructure, automated test frameworks, simulation, diagnostics, or debugging utilities.
  • Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, or MISRA C/C++.
  • Experience designing communication between safety-critical or real-time MCU functions and higher-level SoC services.

Culture & Benefits

  • Employee-focused total rewards and benefits supporting well-being at work and at home.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to belonging and equal employment opportunities.
  • Role-related assessments and pre-employment screening may be required.
