Quality Inspector (Manufacturing)

Location: 1 Mill St, Batavia, NY, United States. Full-time, onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Salary: $40,000–$59,000 per year.

What you will do

• Inspect incoming raw materials and in-process products using sampling plans, engineering prints, and metrology instruments.
• Perform first-piece inspections, dimensional layouts, PPAP activities, dock audits, and process audits.
• Investigate defective parts, maintain inspection records, and support product containment and sorting activities.
• Operate and program CMM equipment and use calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, gauges, microscopes, and related tooling.
• Maintain gauge control and calibration, conduct measurement system analysis and process capability studies.
• Support Quality, Production, PPE, and Maintenance teams while contributing to compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001/45001.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of quality inspection experience.
• Blueprint reading, GD&T, and metrology experience required.
• Knowledge of PPAP and GP-12/Safe Launch activities.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with calendar, email, internet, and spreadsheet software, plus SolidWorks and Microsoft Access.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to change.
