Search Engine Optimization Specialist (AI)

What you will do

• Implement SEO and AEO recommendations across assigned university partner websites.
• Conduct content audits to identify optimization opportunities, topical gaps, and alignment with search demand.
• Improve metadata, internal linking, content structure, and keyword alignment.
• Support technical SEO by identifying issues, validating fixes, and collaborating with engineering or platform teams.
• Review user experience and cross-linking opportunities across university .EDU properties.
• Monitor organic traffic, rankings, leads, applications, and enrollments while maintaining documentation and workflows.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience in a professional or agency environment.
• Experience executing on-page, content, and technical SEO initiatives across multiple websites or a complex site environment.
• Ability to identify optimization opportunities and implement recommendations that improve organic performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with managers and cross-functional partners.
• Familiarity with common analytics and SEO platforms for performance measurement and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with SEO for AI-driven, generative, or answer-based search.
• Experience evaluating UX, navigation, internal linking, and discoverability opportunities.
• Experience in higher education or complex, multi-brand ecosystems.
