Registered Nurse-Special Care Nursery Full Time Nights Sign On Bonus Eligible

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; full-time onsite night shift.

Salary: $34.50–$55.20 per hour. Sign-on bonus: $3,000, subject to eligibility.

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update care plans, and document outcomes.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, including discharge planning and referrals.
• Educate patients and families about medications, clinical conditions, discharge instructions, and available resources.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions, safe medication administration, and continuous patient monitoring.
• Support quality and safety initiatives focused on preventing falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and central-line infections where applicable.
• Lead or support unit operations through delegation, mentoring, precepting, handoffs, huddles, and coordination of patient care.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is accepted with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Compliance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and applicable healthcare regulations and standards.
• Successful completion of the required background check.
