Assurance Manager - Life Sciences

Location: Boston, United States; projects may involve hirify.global offices in biotech hubs across the country. Travel of approximately 25% may be required.

Salary: $89,800–$170,500 annually, plus discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of financial statements, disclosures, and related client deliverables.
• Lead public market transaction work, including Form S-1, Form S-3, and Form F-4 engagements.
• Assess risk, design audit procedures, and apply hirify.global’s Global Audit Methodology.
• Manage multiple engagement teams, supervise seniors and supervisors, and review work quality and productivity.
• Identify technical accounting matters, coordinate with specialists, and monitor developments affecting GAAP, SEC reporting, and firm standards.
• Develop staff through coaching, training, career guidance, and performance evaluations while managing project profitability and client relationships.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
• CPA or CA certification.
• At least 5 years of current or recent public accounting experience.
• At least 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff across multiple engagements.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates, with knowledge of GAAP, GAS, and FASB regulations.
• Proven ability to build profitable, sustainable client relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience auditing life sciences companies and related organizations.
• Experience directing and deploying staff and senior associates across multiple simultaneous engagements.
• Knowledge of SEC and PCAOB regulations.
