Senior Security Platform Engineer (AI/Cloud Security)

Location: Hybrid role based in Plano, Texas or New York, New York; must have a legal right to work in the United States.

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Own infrastructure-as-code, shared Terraform modules, cloud access, secrets lifecycle, networking, WAF, CDN, DNS, and container orchestration across cloud environments.
• Operate the Elastic Security SIEM, including upgrades, integrations, log ingestion pipelines, detection rules, alerting workflows, and signal-quality improvements.
• Lead security incident investigations, SOC escalations, remediation, runbook development, and analyst mentoring.
• Drive identity governance and authentication hardening, including MFA, conditional access, legacy protocol deprecation, and access audits.
• Own security across mobile, web, backend, and AI/ML systems, embedding secure development practices and coordinating vulnerability remediation.
• Investigate payment fraud and improve fraud rules, allow-lists, risk profiles, and payment endpoint security.

Requirements

• 5+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience with production ownership in multi-account cloud environments.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience, including shared module development and maintenance.
• Experience operating a SIEM platform, preferably Elastic Security, with log ingestion, detection engineering, and alerting.
• Strong networking knowledge covering load balancers, security groups, WAF, DNS, and CDN.
• Experience with identity providers such as Entra ID/Azure AD or Okta, plus SSO, SAML, MFA, and conditional access.
• Demonstrated incident response leadership and the ability to provide hands-on technical escalation across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, plus ECS or similar container orchestration.
• Payments security, fraud scoring, PCI-adjacent systems, or payment gateway risk tooling experience.
• Experience with CSPM, vulnerability management, SAST, SCA, and CI/CD security scanning tools.
• Experience mentoring SOC analysts or junior engineers.
• Knowledge of AI/LLM security, including prompt injection, data leakage, model access control, and AI-powered features.
