CMPT Operations Lab Technician

Location: Newark, Delaware, United States. Onsite work in QC laboratories, offices, manufacturing plants, and warehouses. Day shift: 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; overtime, weekend coverage, or alternate shifts may be required.

What you will do

• Collect and analyze samples and perform chemical, physical, and scientific tests using standard procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate quality-control metrology equipment.
• Record, organize, and analyze product-testing and inspection data, including Statistical Process Control data.
• Verify product requirements and release raw materials for manufacturing operations.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, support product-quality and in-process testing, and travel between campus laboratories.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and waste, operate forklifts and other industrial machinery, and participate in safety and continuous-improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to complete routine testing independently and in teams in a timely and reproducible manner.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access is preferred.
• Ability to work with people at all levels and follow standard operating procedures with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in Newark, Delaware, including manufacturing and warehouse environments, and meet physical requirements such as lifting at least 30 pounds and wearing personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of chemical safety, PPE, laboratory fume hoods, or quality-control laboratories.
• Experience with titrations, spectroscopy, density, compression, adhesion, viscosity, liquid chromatography, or trace metals/ICP testing.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, including chart monitoring and OOT/OOS escalations.
• Experience with databases, Microsoft Access, ERP systems, or SAP.
• Experience in laboratory, manufacturing, warehousing, or equivalent industrial environments.
