Product Specialist - Commercial Property Insights (Insurance)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed location is Jersey City, NJ.

Annualized base salary: $80,000–$95,000 USD.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the reporting and business insights strategy for the ProMetrix product portfolio.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, and related tools.
• Translate underwriting and business needs into reporting requirements, KPIs, data definitions, visualizations, and Jira user stories.
• Analyze product usage, customer activity, operational performance, and commercial property data to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities.
• Validate report logic and data outputs, investigate data-quality issues, and coordinate resolutions with data and technology teams.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product, operations, risk engineering, sales, marketing, IT, data, and development teams to support releases, demonstrations, and product decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, product analysis, commercial insurance, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports with Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, or comparable BI platforms.
• Ability to analyze business questions, define appropriate measures, communicate findings through visualizations, and explain analytical information to business audiences.
• Experience documenting reporting requirements, defining metrics, validating outputs, and working with data structures and report development.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, project management, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Commercial property or commercial lines underwriting experience and knowledge of underwriting workflows.
• Experience in an insurance carrier, managing general agent, broker, risk engineering organization, or insurance data provider.
• Experience with SQL, data preparation, semantic layers, structured dataset queries, ThoughtSpot Cloud, or Amazon QuickSight.
