Data Engineer (Asset Management)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid work with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office

Base salary: €2,400–€4,100 per month for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop, extend, and maintain data-enabled products on the Data Products platform for Asset Management.
• Assess requirements and translate them into solution designs and architecture artifacts.
• Implement advanced data use cases and build prototypes using modern data technologies.
• Create automated test cases and maintain regression test suites, data quality controls, and solution documentation.
• Plan deployments and rollouts, including implementation risk and impact analysis.
• Improve agile collaboration and support continuous learning within the squad.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark, Polars, and Pandas, together with strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or similar data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of automated testing, data quality controls, version control, and software architecture.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and willingness to work from the Bratislava office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Applied knowledge of Agile methods, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience with MSBI.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
