Research Associate for Manufacturing-Oriented Computational Design (Robotics)

What you will do

• Develop research objectives and proposals for individual or collaborative projects.
• Develop a computational kernel for optimized structures and toolpaths in robot-assisted additive manufacturing.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research in manufacturing-oriented computational design.
• Write research findings for publication.
• Prepare external funding and contractual proposals.
• Plan and manage research activities with academic collaborators.

Requirements

• Relevant PhD, or equivalent, completed or near completion, in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Specialist knowledge of computational design, advanced manufacturing, intelligent mechatronics, or robotics.
• Experience with C++ programming and mathematical formulation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
