SAP iXp Intern - CPIT CFA AI Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Budapest, Hungary. Expected start date: January 2027, with a minimum duration of 6 months. Full-time, 5 days per week.

What you will do

• Design and build AI agents that plan, reason, and execute multi-step tasks using large language models, tool-use frameworks, and SAP Business AI.
• Validate AI agent use cases through proof-of-concepts, measuring task completion accuracy, latency, cost, and safety guardrails.
• Build and deploy machine learning models as scalable production APIs on SAP’s Business Technology platform.
• Explore emerging AI technologies in line with SAP’s strategy.
• Participate in Agile software development life cycle activities, including design, coding, testing, and production releases.
• Collaborate as part of a global IT delivery team.

Requirements

• Active university student status while pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript, as well as React.
• Knowledge of AI industry trends, prompt engineering, data pipelines, and coding standards for LLM application development.
• Familiarity with MCP or A2A interoperability protocols.
• Good written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems independently and work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Exposure to an agent orchestration framework such as LangGraph, LangChain, or an equivalent.
• Familiarity with agentic AI patterns, tool use, ReAct loops, planning, memory management, and multi-step task orchestration.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools.
