Senior Staff Software Engineer (AI Platform)

Location: Petach Tikva, Israel; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Define engineering standards and architecture principles while owning end-to-end delivery of complex production initiatives.
• Architect and build scalable, highly available cloud-native solutions across major cloud platforms.
• Develop data, streaming, serverless, storage, and platform services for internal systems and enterprise clients.
• Integrate AI coding tools and autonomous agents into development workflows, including reusable agent skills and contextual grounding.
• Lead the AI-augmented software development lifecycle from architecture and automated testing through CI/CD deployment and operations.
• Guide architecture reviews, code reviews, technical collaboration, and engineering mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of production software engineering experience with Python, Java, Go, C#, Scala, or similar high-level languages.
• 2+ years designing and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience delivering complex software products from initial design through production with measurable business impact.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Strong full-lifecycle software development experience, with expertise in agentic software development environments preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions, or EventBridge.
• Experience with vector databases, Apache Iceberg, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis, graph databases, and messaging systems such as SQS, RabbitMQ, or MSK.
• Experience building RAG systems, deploying AI agents, structuring context and prompt pipelines, or authoring custom AI skills.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a quantitative field.
