What you will do
- Analyze corporate card applications from Brazilian startups and SMBs using financial statements, bank data, bureau reports, and internal model scores.
- Prepare credit recommendations covering proposed limits, risks, and mitigants for review and approval.
- Monitor account utilization, payment behavior, delinquency, and requests for credit limit changes.
- Partner with Collections, Sales, Account Management, and customers to clarify financial information and explain credit decisions.
- Use AI tools to support analysis, verify outputs against source data, and help improve AI-assisted underwriting workflows.
- Document guidelines, recurring edge cases, decision rationale, and processes for business continuity.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or credit risk in Brazil.
- Hands-on experience analyzing Brazilian company financial statements and assessing repayment capacity.
- Familiarity with Brazilian credit data sources such as Serasa, Boa Vista, SCR, or similar.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and the ability to build simple analyses from raw data.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini in analytical work.
- Fluent Portuguese and professionally fluent English; based in São Paulo and able to work hybrid from the specified office.
Nice to have
- Experience underwriting SMB or commercial credit.
- Exposure to corporate cards, payments, working capital, or revolving credit products.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools for portfolio data analysis.
- Experience at a high-growth startup or fintech.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
