Customer Engineer-EPI

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite work with extensive physical and clean-room requirements

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Apply diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and resolve technical issues with support from senior engineers.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with customers and senior engineers to understand roadmaps, process flows, requirements, and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate directly with customers to support smooth equipment operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, and/or thermodynamics.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet onsite safety, environmental, physical, and clean-room requirements; valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.
