Digitalization Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Maintain, optimize, and standardize MOM and SCADA systems to support stable production information flow.
• Drive AI and digitalization projects supporting the development of a fully automated, intelligent manufacturing environment.
• Manage tools, jigs, fixtures, automation equipment, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Support assembly processes, resolve production-line bottlenecks, update work instructions, and train operators on new standards.
• Adjust PLC settings when needed, contribute to 6S and safety initiatives, and implement ergonomic and standard-time improvements.
• Use production data and programming skills to enable actionable insights and predictive decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; a digital or automation focus is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and AI model development, C# for internal tooling and HMI development, and SQL for large-scale manufacturing datasets.
• Strong foundation in assembly process engineering, GD&T, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with MOM or SCADA systems is highly desirable.
• Basic electrical knowledge and familiarity with Siemens or Omron PLCs are preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English and availability to work onsite in Shanghai, China.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting mechanical or electrical production.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and industrial IoT platforms.
