Customer Support Technician-CMP (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite work involving customer facilities and cleanroom environments.

What you will do

• Plan daily work and complete preventive, remedial, periodic maintenance, wet cleans, start-ups, warranty, paid service, and service contract activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process variations, verify operational quality, and support Tier II and Tier III system start-ups.
• Track equipment performance, plan uptime improvements, and apply Statistical Process Control and Quality Improvement Process methods.
• Coordinate support plans with customer management and act as a technical and administrative liaison for assigned accounts.
• Instruct customers on system operation and maintenance and provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel.
• Work with hand and power tools and use required personal protective equipment in cleanroom environments.

Requirements

• Proficiency in analytical processes and procedures relevant to assigned maintenance and support tasks.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Quality Improvement Process terminology.
• Ability to troubleshoot atypical or infrequent problems using established procedures and precedents.
• Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work around noise, chemicals, tight spaces, and required cleanroom protective equipment.
