Senior Software Engineer, Incentive Offers (Scala)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States. Office-first model requiring employees to be onsite at least four days per week.

Salary: $177,000–$216,000 USD annually, plus potential benefits, bonuses, and equity.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend services for the incentive and rewards platform.
• Build real-time event-streaming architectures for high-frequency physical-world signals.
• Develop compliance, preference management, decisioning, eligibility, partner configuration, and budget management services.
• Build identity, attribution, and measurement systems connecting digital tokens with real-world identifiers.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Data on the technical roadmap and lead the software development lifecycle through production.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and improve the engineering platform.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of Scala, Java, or other JVM languages supporting functional programming.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, SOA, and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of agile development, TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with MySQL or RDS and designing highly available, scalable systems.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with container technologies and infrastructure as code.
