DevSecOps Engineer (Salesforce/AWS)

What you will do

• Assess end-to-end communication workflows across Salesforce, S-Docs, AWS, and VA Notify for scalability, security, auditability, observability, and compliance.
• Evaluate document templates, data dependencies, automation triggers, queueing strategies, monitoring, and operational risks.
• Build Salesforce data models, integration components, orchestration, error handling, and delivery-result workflows.
• Implement AWS API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, dead-letter queues, logging, monitoring, configuration, secrets management, and access controls.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, and SCA security scanning into CI/CD pipelines and support automated high-volume testing.
• Produce data-flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, architectural decisions, risk documentation, and decision logs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on Salesforce development with Apex, Flow/Process Builder, Lightning Web Components, and REST, SOAP, or Bulk API integrations.
• Experience with Salesforce document-generation tools such as S-Docs or Conga, including HTML/PDF templates and automation triggers.
• Experience with serverless AWS integrations, including API Gateway, Lambda, SQS/DLQ patterns, and CloudWatch monitoring.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FISMA, and federal Assessment & Authorization / ATO processes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance or favorable suitability determination.

Nice to have

• Experience with VA Notify or similar notification-as-a-service platforms and direct support for VA programs.
• Salesforce or AWS certifications and experience with federal GRC/ATO tools such as eMASS or Xacta.
• Experience with SIEM and log management tools, Section 508, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Infrastructure as Code, or Agile/Scrum delivery.
