Chemical Process Engineer (Fluoromonomers)

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States; onsite role

Salary: $85,801–$134,064 annual base pay, plus a 6% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day chemical and process engineering support for the Fluoromonomers manufacturing area.
• Monitor process performance, analyze data, troubleshoot operating issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead improvements in process capability, capacity, yield, energy efficiency, reliability, product quality, and environmental performance.
• Lead Process Safety Management activities, including PHA, LOPA, PSSR, relief system evaluations, Mechanical Integrity, and technical action closure.
• Manage the technical aspects of Management of Change activities and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, process safety information, and engineering standards.
• Support plant trials, process control and automation improvements, environmental initiatives, equipment troubleshooting, personnel training, and capital projects from concept through startup.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple complex, time-sensitive projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with initiative, self-motivation, and flexibility while moving projects forward safely.
• Experience with PSM-regulated chemical manufacturing, process simulation, process historian and data analytics systems, process control, or manufacturing automation is preferred.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visa sponsorship, is not currently available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, SEEQ, or IP.21.
• Experience with MOC, PHA, PSSR, LOPA, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Experience with fluorochemical, specialty chemical, or highly hazardous chemical processes.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
