Product Design Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Clarksville, Tennessee, United States. Hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $69,600–$124,950.

What you will do

• Develop HVAC refrigeration and airflow systems for commercial water-source heat pump products.
• Design and select robust, cost-effective components while preparing engineering specifications, layouts, and design reviews.
• Plan laboratory validation tests, analyze test data, and ensure product performance and quality.
• Apply regulatory requirements such as UL and complete system integration activities.
• Resolve knowledge gaps, FRACAS issues, and DFMEA items to reduce quality escapes.
• Guide designers, laboratory technicians, and project teams while managing schedules and technical work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience leading technical product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
• Experience delivering technical designs that meet project and product requirements.
• Knowledge of HVAC functions including refrigeration, heat transfer, airflow, and ventilation.
• Understanding of computer simulation tools and theory applied to HVAC system design.
