What you will do

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on mechanical, electrical, and PCBA assemblies.
• Measure parts and assemblies using precision tools, optical comparators, and vision systems, and interpret GD&T drawings.
• Contain, document, and lead MRB disposition for nonconforming products with engineering and production.
• Write and maintain inspection plans, verification criteria, checklists, and quality work instructions.
• Support NPI through design and process reviews, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection-point definition.
• Monitor yield, defect Pareto, escapes, and SPC data; manage calibration, traceability, training, and audit support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands-on quality inspection or quality engineering experience in a manufacturing production environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, controlled documentation, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection methods.
• Experience documenting nonconformances, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Experience with MES/ERP quality modules, NCR systems, electronic records, and SQL for querying production databases and building dashboards.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or science.
• IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• CMM programming, automated vision inspection, SPC, process capability analysis, or PCBA/SMT inspection experience.
