Fund Accountant, Trust

Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO; Fort Worth, TX; or Jacksonville, FL

Salary: $65,000–$115,000 annual base salary in Colorado, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and maintain general ledgers, trial balances, NAVs, and financial statements using Black Diamond Trust.
• Execute and oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual fund accounting processes while meeting service-level deadlines.
• Review and resolve complex reconciliations, accounting exceptions, and operational issues, escalating risks and solutions when appropriate.
• Act as the primary liaison for assigned clients and coordinate with auditors, law firms, and tax advisors.
• Support trade settlement, corporate actions, shadow posting, client onboarding, and entity implementation.
• Provide subject-matter expertise, documentation, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance to the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in fund accounting, managed services, or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and investment accounting.
• Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of trust operations, financial markets, and the securities industry, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
