Associate Director, Analytical and Formulation Science (Biologics)

Salary: $152,000–$209,000 annually, plus bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Lead analytical and formulation development across multiple client biologics programs.
• Manage, mentor, and develop scientists and associates while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and scientific excellence.
• Oversee analytical method development, qualification, transfer, validation, stability programs, GMP testing, release testing, and product characterization.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Regulatory, and Commercial functions to deliver clinical and commercial programs.
• Develop budgets, staffing plans, capital requests, performance metrics, proposals, and technical risk assessments.
• Drive implementation of new analytical technologies, automation, continuous improvement, and cross-site operational alignment.

Requirements

• BS in a scientific discipline with 15+ years of technical management experience; MS with 13+ years; or PhD with significant industry leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
• Strong experience in analytical development, GMP testing, biologics characterization, method validation, and stability programs.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and requirements for biotechnology-derived products.
• Demonstrated success in client engagement, team development, innovation, and operational leadership.
• Experience with analytical technologies such as LC-MS, SEC, CE-SDS, IEX, and icIEF is relevant to team deliverables.
