Digital Scientist (AI)

Location: Onsite at the Princeton, New Jersey, USA location; occasional laboratory work may be required. Minimal travel expected, less than 10%.

Base salary: $71,000–$101,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead digital analytics projects that improve how consumer research, laboratory, and project data are captured, connected, visualized, and used.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, visual analytics tools, and data models.
• Develop data pipelines, integrations, templates, and structured data models across laboratory and Microsoft platforms.
• Build or support predictive, classification, trend-detection, automated analysis, and AI-enabled workflow solutions.
• Digitize product screening and performance evaluation methods, including protocols, data capture, analysis templates, and reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with consumer scientists, laboratory teams, Information Technology, and other stakeholders on requirements, testing, deployment, governance, and adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience with digital tools, analytics, automation, or AI technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis, scripting, and automation.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Copilot, cloud platforms, and Git or GitHub.
• Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, data architecture, APIs, metadata management, and low-code or no-code platforms.
• Ability to manage assigned workstreams with limited guidance, communicate technical concepts clearly, and maintain data quality, traceability, responsible use, and compliance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with consumer research statistics, experimental design, A/B testing, or Design of Experiments.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods, fast-moving consumer goods, or Research & Development.
• Experience building AI agents, using generative AI tools, or supporting AI-enabled business workflows.
• Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, ethical AI, Agile, or Scrum.
