IT Auditor

Location: Hoover, Alabama or Birmingham, Alabama, United States

Salary range target: $62,345.80–$83,610.00 USD annually.

What you will do

• Assist with audit engagement planning, including identifying and assessing risks.
• Perform internal audit engagements according to established methodology with limited supervision.
• Create audit workpapers that meet evidence requirements.
• Draft audit issues using established internal audit criteria.
• Analyze process flows and operations to identify business process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in internal audit, external audit, banking, risk management, or compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, time management, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Ability to listen actively, ask clarifying questions, and tailor communication to different audiences.

Nice to have

• Professional certification or progress toward CPA, CIA, CISA, CFSA, CRCM, CFE, CRP, CAMS, CFIRS, CISSP, or CBA certification.
