Director of Financial Audit for EMEA

Location: Remote (UK)

Salary: £135,000–£160,000 base salary per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Define and maintain EMEA financial audit methodology content based on ISA, IFRS, local frameworks, partner procedures, testing approaches, and regulatory expectations.
• Build relationships with EMEA standard-setters, professional bodies, and regulators, and incorporate practitioner feedback into platform templates and workflows.
• Translate professional standards and audit judgment into prompts, workflows, guardrails, and localized AI agents in partnership with AI, product, and engineering teams.
• Serve as the financial audit subject-matter expert for EMEA sales, customer demos, technical validation sprints, implementations, and strategic customer engagements.
• Advise cross-functional leadership on regional audit priorities, customer health, methodology fit, and product roadmaps.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop the EMEA financial audit team as the function scales.

Requirements

• Professional audit qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of financial audit experience in a public accounting or assurance firm, including experience with EMEA regulatory and standard-setting bodies.
• Deep expertise in auditing standards, audit methodology, international standards, and multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• Experience with audit technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, methodologies, templates, or workpapers.
• Working knowledge of quality control and quality management standards, including ISQM 1, SQMS 1, or PCAOB QC standards.
• Ability to translate professional standards into structured workflows and collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in audit methodology, quality, or national office roles.
• Experience with LLM-based or agentic workflows, prompt design, or AI-enabled audit tooling.
• Experience spanning UK, EU, and other EMEA auditing standards and methodologies.
