Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; work is performed at the contractor facility with partial telework available.

Salary: $150,000–$260,000 per year

What you will do

• Support, integrate, scale, document, and secure virtual compute and container platforms for the Tactical Edge Platform.
• Develop and maintain containerized capabilities and microservices in service-oriented architectures.
• Integrate DevOps policies throughout the software stack and work with developers on compliant integrations.
• Assess platform performance against required specifications and investigate system performance issues.
• Design, code, modify, test, and integrate software across low-side and high-side environments.
• Develop data interfaces, queries, documentation, algorithms, and lightweight experiments to evaluate new solutions.

Requirements

• Twenty years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or four additional years of comparable software engineering experience.
• Experience with software containerization technologies including Kubernetes, K8s, Rancher, or Docker.
• Experience developing and maintaining microservices in a service-oriented architecture and working with varied communications and data formats.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML capabilities and standard model, weight, and data-interchange formats.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and eligibility to provide documentation confirming U.S. person status under ITAR/EAR requirements.

• Experience with programmatic data-serving and retrieval APIs.
• DevOps, CI/CD, data science workflows, ETL, or data lake experience.
