TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer for Open Sovereign Cloud (m/f/d) (Kubernetes/Cloud): Designing and implementing Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code for a sovereign cloud serving regulated healthcare and public-sector clients with an accent on security, encryption, identity management, and automation. Focus on building scalable deployment platforms, optimizing system performance, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and implementing sovereignty controls across cloud environments.
Location: Remote from Slovakia only; company site in Košice, Slovakia.
Base salary from €2,900 gross per month, with the final salary negotiable based on seniority and experience; variable compensation and other financial benefits are also provided.

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and implement infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Manage source code, configuration, release, build, test, and deployment activities.
- Design and implement Kubernetes-based platform services and sovereignty controls, including encryption and identity management.
- Integrate partner applications and support project teams with development, quality assurance, and product releases.
- Analyze and optimize performance, troubleshoot errors, and continuously improve development and system infrastructure.
- Create automation concepts, prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions, and implementation plans for assigned technologies.
Requirements
- Master's-level education in information technology and at least four years of ICT systems experience.
- Expert experience with Bash or Python scripting, Linux, Docker, Git, and networking.
- Advanced Kubernetes experience, ideally with CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with public cloud platforms, Jenkins or GitLab, Ansible, Terraform or Puppet, and observability tools.
- Advanced security knowledge and experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
- English at B2 level required.
Nice to have
- Multiple Kubernetes certifications.
- Multiple public cloud DevOps certifications across different platforms.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle and tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Icinga, Jaeger, or Grafana.
