Frontend Tech Lead (Vue/Nuxt)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid model with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home

What you will do

• Build and improve shared frontend platform capabilities used across Product and Platform teams.
• Evolve the design system, component foundations, frontend architecture, and developer experience.
• Improve local development, CI/CD, testing, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and production debugging.
• Lead frontend architecture conventions, RFCs, technical decisions, code review standards, and the frontend guild.
• Mentor frontend engineers and improve communication, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Use AI-assisted development for implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation while maintaining consistency and code quality.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience building modern frontend applications with excellent engineering fundamentals.
• Experience leading technical decisions, architecture discussions, and code review practices in frontend environments.
• Deep experience with Vue 3 and its ecosystem.
• Experience with testing, observability, performance optimization, and production debugging.
• Ability to mentor engineers, communicate technical decisions clearly, and influence without relying on hierarchy.
• Pragmatic judgment about when to improve architecture, keep things simple, or avoid building unnecessary solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nuxt, design systems, shared component libraries, monorepos, developer tooling, or frontend CI/CD.
• Experience with Playwright, Vitest, Datadog, or similar testing and observability tools.
• Experience shaping frontend practices across multiple teams.
