Chemistry Technician II (57994)

Location: Onsite at the Marietta office in Marietta, Georgia, United States. This is a 3-month contract position with potential conversion to full-time. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

What you will do

• Prepare samples and assist chemists and senior chemists with laboratory tests.
• Follow laboratory processes and specifications while performing moderately complex and routine tests.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Gather and interpret data with guidance from senior staff.
• Maintain chemical and equipment inventories and track work using software systems.
• Collaborate with other departments and complete assigned laboratory tasks independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or associate degree in science with at least 2 years of experience in a materials testing laboratory, or a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related science field.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry testing, laboratory processes, and equipment operation.
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, laboratory ISO requirements, and process safety procedures.
• Experience using software systems and tools to track and record information.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements.
