PIR Caseworker (Refugee Services): Coordinating resettlement services and individualized self-sufficiency plans for refugees and qualified immigrants with an accent on trauma-informed support, client assessment, and access to housing, healthcare, transportation, and public benefits. Focus on monitoring client progress, documenting services in ETO, coordinating with community providers, and transporting clients across the service area.
Location: Louisville, KY, USA; hybrid work combining office, remote, and field time in the service delivery area.
Salary: $21–$23 per hour.

What you will do
- Coordinate pre- and post-arrival resettlement services, including airport pickup, housing, food, medical care, transportation, and orientation.
- Conduct client intake assessments and develop individualized self-sufficiency plans and SMART goals.
- Provide financial assistance, public benefits applications, medical and mental health referrals, and housing support.
- Monitor client progress, address challenges, and ensure services meet program requirements.
- Document client interactions in ETO and support tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with coworkers, partner organizations, service providers, volunteers, and interns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred.
- Professional experience in human services required; at least two years strongly preferred.
- Experience with refugee or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written English required.
- Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, networking, problem-solving, multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle required.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Dari, Farsi, or Pashto.
- Familiarity with IRIS and Efforts to Outcomes databases.
