Field Application Engineer/Technical Support (Embedded Software): Supporting customers across the embedded software development lifecycle in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, from technical discovery and evaluation through troubleshooting and solution delivery, with an accent on compilers, optimization, debugging, and customer-facing technical pre-sales. Focus on analyzing complex embedded toolchains, aligning technical solutions with business objectives, and collaborating with Sales, silicon partners, and global technical teams.
Location: Taipei, Taipei City, Taiwan; hybrid working options available

What you will do
- Own the technical customer journey from discovery and evaluation through technical support, troubleshooting, and deeper investigations.
- Analyze compiler behavior, optimization, debugging, embedded toolchains, CI/CD setups, and compliance needs.
- Partner with Sales to present technical solutions and drive customer wins.
- Build relationships with engineers, R&D managers, and project leads to identify technical pain points and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with silicon and ecosystem partners on webinars, seminars, and events.
- Maintain evaluation and pipeline information, localize technical content, and share feedback with product and APAC teams.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Field Application Engineer or in a similar technical pre-sales role.
- Strong embedded software development background with proficiency in C/C++.
- Familiarity with compilers, debuggers, Arm or RISC-V CPU architectures, RTOS, and/or Linux.
- Experience leading customer-facing technical engagements across the sales cycle and explaining complex technology to different stakeholders.
- Business-level English and 3+ years of experience in an international or multicultural company.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of CI/CD for building and testing embedded software.
- Experience working with semiconductor vendors or other ecosystem partners.
