Senior Computer Vision / ML Engineer

Location: Remote; preferred working hours are GMT+3 to GMT+7.

What you will do

• Design computer vision and machine learning solutions for architectural drawings, technical documents, CAD, and BIM data.
• Build pipelines combining raster images, vector geometry, structured engineering data, OCR, and ML models.
• Reconstruct structured objects from geometric primitives, including topology and spatial relationships.
• Create evaluation pipelines with ground-truth datasets, quality metrics, regression testing, and validation on unseen data.
• Develop human-in-the-loop workflows, reproducible training and inference, and production-ready CPU-first inference services with optional GPU acceleration.
• Provide technical leadership and communicate ML decisions, limitations, and trade-offs to customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional machine learning or computer vision experience, including taking ML solutions into production.
• Strong knowledge of computer vision, machine learning, model evaluation, vector geometry, structured data, topology, and spatial relationships.
• Experience processing technical documents, diagrams, or drawings and designing evaluation pipelines with ground-truth data and regression testing.
• Experience building human-in-the-loop systems, handling uncertain predictions, and preparing models for independent deployment or further training.
• Experience with model and dataset versioning, licensing considerations, and technical leadership in a small engineering team.
• English at B2–C1 level and Russian at C1–C2 level or native proficiency are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with architectural or construction drawings, BIM models, quantity takeoff, or cost estimation.
• Experience with floor-plan recognition, raster-to-vector reconstruction, structured document understanding, CAD/BIM parsing, OCR, or graph-based engineering representations.
• Experience optimizing CPU-only inference and deploying ML services in isolated customer environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings in German or French; German or French at B1–B2 level.
