Systems Programmer Analyst I – Java

Location: Kraków, Poland. Hybrid model: three days per week in the office; two office days for a parent of a child up to four years old.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Java EE, Spring, and ORM technologies.
• Build REST web services and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Create automated unit and integration tests, investigate application issues, and support test and production incident resolution.
• Build and improve continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, manage source code, and participate in code reviews.
• Develop and support SAS code, ETL processes, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for transformation and integration workflows.
• Develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards, applications, data models, Qlik NPrinting reports, and automated report distribution processes.

Requirements

• At least two years of professional software development experience with Java and Java EE.
• Hands-on experience with Spring and Hibernate or another ORM persistence framework, REST services, and enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of application containers such as Apache Tomcat.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift, plus unit testing, continuous integration, refactoring, and clean-code practices.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
• Strong relational database knowledge, preferably Oracle, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and data modelling; interest in SAS, ETL, and Qlik reporting solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, Node, JavaScript, Apache Kafka, and related web or integration technologies.
• Experience contributing to architecture, modernization, automation, or technical-improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to SAS programming, ETL, Qlik Sense, Qlik NPrinting, Visual Basic macros, or other automation tools.
