Lead Software Engineer (Agentic Industrial Emissions Platform, React and Go)

What you will do

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable APIs, services, and accessibility-first user interfaces.
• Build AI-native features across the front end and back end using React, Go, and other general-purpose technologies.
• Modernize legacy systems into modular, event-driven, API-first components and cloud-native services.
• Own application reliability and operational excellence, including telemetry, SLOs, error budgets, incident response, and service improvement.
• Champion CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, automated testing, security, documentation, and production readiness.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Design, AI, Platform Engineering, and other engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience across front-end and back-end development.
• Professional experience with React or similar modern front-end frameworks and Go or comparable general-purpose programming languages.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, services, and cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, automation, and incident response.
• Ability to lead technical design discussions, influence architectural decisions, and take ownership from design through production.
• Strong focus on code quality, automated testing, performance, security, maintainability, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, microservices, or legacy-system modernization.
• Experience with AI-enabled, data-intensive, sustainability, carbon intelligence, or enterprise SaaS products.
• Familiarity with observability, reliability engineering, SLOs, error budgets, and production incident management.
• Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to engineering standards.
