Senior Manager Specialist (Mould Design)

Location: Billund, Denmark; hybrid work with the option to work from home up to two days per week.

What you will do

• Drive quality-focused end-to-end projects across the Mould Design organization.
• Identify improvement opportunities, set priorities, and recommend technical solutions to leadership.
• Coordinate specialists and topic drivers on complex engineering challenges.
• Lead and support the development of new equipment and future processing capabilities.
• Manage risks related to timelines, budgets, change requests, and supplier delivery.
• Implement technical solutions, continuous improvements, and future production setups across global manufacturing flows.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, such as production, industrial, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• Experience delivering quality improvement initiatives in complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading large cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholder groups.
• Experience with root cause analysis and data-driven problem solving using a Six Sigma approach.
• Experience managing the development, enhancement, or deployment of manufacturing or process solutions.
• Experience with injection moulding, mould processes, and related production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• Experience with product development lifecycle activities including prototyping, testing, and industrialization; relevant standards, regulatory requirements, and design for manufacturing.
• Competence in interpreting technical drawings, tolerancing, and quality control methodologies.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, manage suppliers and stakeholders, identify barriers to change, and solve problems cross-functionally.
• Ability to oversee project management processes in line with applicable norms, directives, and EHS requirements, and mentor junior engineers.
• High initiative, accountability, adaptability, robustness, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

• Experience developing new equipment for internal production environments.
• Experience evaluating supplier and vendor deliverables against technical and quality requirements.
• Experience defining capability roadmaps based on future manufacturing and business needs.
• Experience implementing large-scale operational improvements across multiple functions.
