Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Data & AI)

Location: Remote based in Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration at offices in Berlin or Cologne. Up to 20 work-from-home days per year may be taken anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security testing and controls.
• Strengthen application, Kubernetes, container, and cloud-native security with engineering teams.
• Translate security requirements into practical guardrails, standards, and solutions for AI/ML, MLOps, and Data Science teams.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, and support remediation of CVEs and other vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to security testing, monitoring, observability, tooling, and continuous application-security improvements.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience as a DevSecOps or Application Security Engineer.
• Senior or Staff-level technical depth and independence in owning complex security topics.
• Experience with CI/CD security, GitHub, GitLab, or comparable tools, including automated security checks and guardrails.
• Expertise in application and cloud-native security, Kubernetes and container security, vulnerability management, scanning, triage, prioritization, and remediation.
• A shift-left mindset and the ability to work closely with developers to embed security into software development and deployment.

• Experience with Python and Data & AI/ML environments.
