Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Berlin, Germany; in-office work required 3 days per week

Salary: €100,000–€150,000 annual base salary plus equity

hirify.global is building a regulated modern bank with its own national bank charter and proprietary Marble core banking system for international dollar, euro, and stablecoin clearing.

What you will do

• Own security engineering across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, CI/CD, and incident response.
• Partner with product and platform teams to integrate security into architecture and product design.
• Enforce an SSDLC across EU payment and ledger services and US launch-critical services, including checkpoints, evidence, and exception handling.
• Build an AI-native product-security review pipeline that triages code, dependency, and IaC findings and proposes fixes through pull requests.
• Harden workload identity, secrets management, runtime audit logging, and dependency monitoring across Tier-1 services.
• Lead detection, response, remediation, and monthly security control-evidence reporting.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in security engineering, product security, cloud security, or detection and response in production environments.
• Strong expertise securing cloud systems, including IAM, networking, logging, key management, workload isolation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building and operating at least one production security automation or detection capability.
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or another regulated environment with audit and control-evidence requirements.
• Experience with modern security tooling, especially SIEM/SOAR and cloud security platforms.
• Located in or willing to relocate to Berlin and able to work in-office 3 days per week.
