TL;DR
Senior Software Developer - Full Stack (AWS, Python, React): Building scalable digital productivity applications and services for mining operations with an accent on cloud-native architecture, backend APIs, responsive user experiences, automation, analytics, and AI. Focus on designing reliable distributed systems, integrating enterprise and industrial platforms, solving complex production issues, and mentoring developers.
Location: Redcliffe, Perth, Western Australia; onsite five days a week. Travel requirements up to 10%. Domestic relocation to Australia may be available for the ideal candidate.

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable digital applications and services using AWS, Python, and React.
- Build backend services, APIs, responsive user experiences, and cloud-native solutions.
- Contribute to solution architecture, technical design, technology decisions, and reusable engineering practices.
- Integrate applications with MineStar, enterprise platforms, data services, and internal and external systems.
- Apply automation, analytics, AI, security, testing, observability, and performance practices to production systems.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, UX specialists, engineers, and distributed delivery partners while mentoring developers and resolving complex production issues.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant professional experience delivering production applications in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong Python backend experience, including APIs, services, and application business logic.
- Strong React, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern web application, and AWS cloud development experience.
- Experience with REST APIs, distributed application components, software architecture, automated testing, source control, code review, CI/CD, security, and production troubleshooting.
- This is an onsite role based in Redcliffe, Perth, Western Australia, five days per week. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with serverless, containerised, or event-driven AWS architectures.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, data, analytics, machine learning, or AI-enabled applications.
- Experience with mining, industrial technology, operational technology, asset-intensive industries, or MineStar.
- Experience integrating large enterprise or industrial technology platforms and working with globally distributed engineering teams.
