Senior Group Corporate Counsel, Payments (Fintech)

What you will do

• Provide expert legal and regulatory advice to business units and subsidiaries.
• Manage complex legal matters and liaise with external legal providers.
• Draft deeds, agreements, and other legal documentation.
• Lead and support negotiations for major commercial contracts.
• Manage external legal budgets and support business planning and forecasting.
• Guide compliance activities and help maintain consistent adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• Experience providing financial services regulatory legal and compliance advice.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts in an in-house setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, legal requirements, and ethical standards in financial services.
• Commercially focused legal advisory experience, preferably in financial services, banking, or an ASX-listed company.
• Working knowledge of AML/CTF, Corporations Act Chapter 7, APRA Prudential Standards, privacy requirements, and relevant industry codes.
