Customer Support Technician-MDP (Semiconductor Equipment): Maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting Applied Materials systems at customer sites in Beijing with an accent on preventive maintenance, equipment uptime, and customer satisfaction. Focus on executing periodic maintenance, resolving process variations, supporting system start-ups, and working in cleanroom environments.
Location: Beijing, China; on-site customer equipment support. Relocation eligible: No.

What you will do
- Plan daily work within the assigned territory to complete preventive and remedial maintenance.
- Perform periodic maintenance, wet cleans, system start-ups, warranty work, paid service, and service contract activities.
- Troubleshoot process variations and system problems, escalating down situations and providing technical assistance to less experienced personnel.
- Verify equipment operating quality, track equipment performance, and implement uptime and productivity improvements.
- Coordinate customer support plans and act as a liaison with customer front-line management on technical and administrative matters.
- Instruct customers in system operation and maintenance and participate in customer meetings.
Requirements
- Proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures for assigned tasks.
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Quality Improvement Process methods and terminology.
- Ability to troubleshoot atypical or infrequent problems using established procedures and precedents.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including extended walking and standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, working in tight spaces, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colors, work around potentially difficult noise levels, and use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom while using required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
