Clinical Consultant (MedTech)

Location: North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia; based in Sydney and supporting Australia and New Zealand. The role requires on-site clinical support, 50% travel, and 24/7 emergency support. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

Johnson & Johnson MedTech, through Abiomed, develops medical technology for circulatory and oxygenation support, including the Impella heart pump platform.

What you will do

• Provide on-site clinical expertise for Impella implanting centers and support optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage training programs and develop site superusers in Protected PCI and Cardiogenic Shock treatment.
• Advise on protocol adoption, analyze institutional needs, and educate stakeholders on hemodynamic support and clinical data.
• Build direct customer relationships, expand referral bases, and support clinical program development.
• Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and monitor relevant literature and emerging trends.

Requirements

• Clinical or technical degree in critical or intensive care, perfusion, or nursing.
• 5+ years of clinical experience, including 2+ years in industry.
• Experience in critical care, cardiac surgery, or mechanical circulatory support.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Fluent English required.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time, provide 24/7 emergency support, and work on-site with clinical centers.

• Extensive experience in cardiac care and structural heart procedures.
• Experience managing complex cases and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
