Focus on developing medical plans, preparing scientific presentations, identifying external partners, and reporting adverse events.

What you will do

  • Support Medical Advisors and medical team members with scientific and medical information, content development, and local medical education programs.
  • Help identify external partners and participate in relevant external scientific presentations.
  • Follow pharmacovigilance principles and report adverse events related to the rare disease and rare blood disorder portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Communications, Public Affairs, and Market Access on assigned projects.
  • Prepare scientific presentations, contribute to brand team updates, and assist with annual medical plans.
  • Manage assigned expenditure within the cost centre budget and follow internal policies and the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.

Requirements

  • Eligibility: bachelor’s or master’s degree graduates, or candidates with up to 2 years of professional work experience.
  • Medical degree or tertiary qualification in life science, pharmacy, or a related discipline; postgraduate medical or science qualifications such as an MSc or PhD are also relevant.
  • Broad knowledge of biological sciences and the ability to synthesise and communicate scientific and medical information accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Initiative and willingness to take ownership after project goals and tasks are established.

Nice to have

  • Previous project management experience.
  • Digital content creation, Adobe Illustrator, and video editing skills.
  • Analytical experience using data and channel performance metrics to identify opportunities and generate insights.
