Senior Technical Specialist RAN

Location: Macquarie Park, NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote

What you will do

• Provide hands-on operational support to maintain the availability and performance of the RAN network.
• Investigate and resolve escalated incidents, contribute to root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support network changes, expansions, upgrades, and design improvements.
• Provide operational support for the radio access component of the satellite site network using VSAT backhaul and HetNet gateways.
• Contribute to alarm filtering, correlation analysis, service assurance automation, and KPI/SLA reporting.
• Collaborate with managed service providers, vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders while sharing technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Relevant Engineering degree in Communications, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline, or a diploma with extensive related experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in the mobile or mobile-satellite industry.
• Advanced technical knowledge of VSAT, RF, IP, and 3G/4G cellular systems, including cellular backhaul.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, protocol-level testing, and end-to-end service assurance skills.
• Cybersecurity, vendor management, customer management, and negotiation experience.
• Experience working with ITIL frameworks and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
